After thinking about it long and hard, I have decided to buy WII U, because of the games like Injustice and Batman Arkham City. Now I have basic WII but it doesnt have the games I want.
Looking at the Youtube videos about Injustice, it really looks great.
Has anyone played this?
Apparently everybody are drooling over Marvel because the success of their recent superhero movies but its appropriate to remind you people from who they are stealing their "unique" ideas.

Marvel is bringing out new muslim superhero Ms Marvel.
Sound familiar? Yeah it does, because DC got there first, as usual.
Simon Baz appeared in 2012 as a new Green Lantern.
So Marvel does it again...copy cat.
Just read Stormwatch new 52 vol 1 and to my suprise I find two gay characters, Apollo and Midnighter. Since Green Lantern on Earth 2 is also gay, I think that DC is kissing up to their gay fans ;-) Dont you think?
I´ve recently started to read a comic series called Hack / Slash. Its a story about Cassie, a girl who has survived a serial killer and decides to kill killers, slashers. With the help of his monster friend Vlad, he kills mean and ruthless supernatural (or mundane) killers one after another.
What makes this special is the friendship between the main characters, the insane black humor and the outrageous gore inflicted on slasher victims. Also the stories are really fast and escapistic and thats what makes this a perfect read for any horror fan.
There are also quite nice crossovers with Chucky, Re-animator and Ash from Army of Darkness is also going to meet these two! Im waiting for crossovers with other horror icons like Freddy and Jason. Maybe in the future!!!
Hopefully theres going to be a TV-series.... :-)

Everybody knows him. He is the greatest of them all. World biggest and strongest superhero. Man in red and blue.
To me Kal-El aka Superman represents sheer righteousness and hope. He is the epitome of good and hasnt got a faint of evil in him. He is superpowered, flying and has eyes which shoot heat rays.
Supermans story is full of intriguing mytology. As the only survivor of the planet Krypton, Kal-El has to endure the burden of being a superhuman from another planet. Kryptonite, a piece of his destroyed home planet, is his Achilles heel. Also he has a quite big gallery of super adversaries trying to benefit from his powers.
The more I read his adventures, the more I´ve begun to realise why he is the best of them all....
It takes a little while for these Trinity War stories to get into collected editions.. But I´m already really psyched!!! This picture is pumping blood to my vains:
Nightwing aka Dick Grayson is Batmans former sidekick Robin. When he was a boy, he lost his parents. Bruce Wayne felt kinship to him and took him under his wing. Under Bruces watchful eye he became Robin. Over the years Grayson grew up and decided no longer to live under Batmans shadow. He became Nightwing.
With a stick and mask he roams the night fighting against insane criminals. His background as a acrobat is a great asset when taking on Gothams fiercest killers and psychopats.
Time to time Nightwing fights alongside Batman and other heroes like Batgirl. Nighwing is truly shining in the greatest heroes of DC gallery ;-)
Having watched Smallvilles 6th season, one of the highlights of the season was Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow (portrayed by Justin Hartley). Oliver Queen was really cheeky and lovable character and DC-history was rewritten in relationship between Oliver and Lois Lane.
Green Arrow is a really great character and doesnt live in Batmans shadow anymore...
Having read Marvel about 20 years (sometimes less, sometimes more), I presumed that Marvel is best there is. But for a few years, their stories have become bland, unimaginative, and the characters dont move forward. Also the art has become overly realistic or too artistic.
After exploring the far away planets like Oa, joined Justice League in the battle against the biggest threats humankind has ever encountered or fought side to side with Batman to purge Gotham City from crime, I have collected here a few points why DC comics is far more superior than Marvel.
1. Heroes have deeper and more emotionally laden backgrounds which you can relate to.
Batman is a lonely man on an impossible quest on the edge of sanity. Superman is an uber human who cannot kill or do harm. He is more like god than a mere human, so he has to always keep his human side in check. Deadman is trying to be human, although he is dead. Hawkman and Hawkgirl have to suffer from neverending cycle of rebirth. The heroes should have good reasons for putting on masks, not because some spider bit them or they were in a atom explosion.
2. Epic stories and crossovers
From Crisis on Infinite earths (1985) DC has expanded, simplified or destroyed parallel universes (=multiverses) and swept readers along across hundreds of worlds, characters and battles with an enthusiasism of a school boy. To me every DC-story seems like a big event, and thats what makes them special.
3. DC goes forward
Theres always a feeling that theres something greater coming in the future of characters. Marvel churns its own shit over and over again. For example Spider-man stories always are the same, Spidey fights supervillains and thats about it. Hulk smashes etc.
4.New 52
DC´s campaign to start all of their magazines from number one and reimagine the whole of DC world is probably one of the best moves in companys history. By changing the timeline with the story Flashpoint, the characters seem more approachable to new readers but at the same time offer something new also to old fans =) Also the mystical woman who mystically appears in all the New 52 number 1 publications, is something to look forward to.
5 The Art
There is almost zero stories that have had bad art. Almost every publication is drawn meticulously emphasizing characters heroic side.
So theres my reasons for DC being so much superior to Marvel. Opinions? Feel free to comment.
Flashpoint on kirja, jota olen pitkään säästellyt, koska kirja on lähtölaukaus koko DC-maailman vallanneelle New 52-aikakaudelle. Kirjassa Flash (Barry Allen) herää oudossa uudessa maailmassa, jossa kaikki on tuhon partaalla. Aquaman ja Wonder Woman taistelevat armeijoineen koko maailman herruudesta, ja sankareita on olemassa vain kourallinen. Lisäksi tämän maailman Batman ei olekaan Bruce Wayne vaan Thomas Wayne, joka on kitkeröitynyt poikansa kuolemasta. Flash yrittää vakuttaa erikoiset sankarit siitä, että kaikki ei ole oikein maailmassa ja että joku on muuttanut ajan kulkua siten, että on jouduttu tähän dystopiaan.
Flashpoint on eräänlainen hyvästijättö vanhalle DC-maailmalle.Sarjakuvassa on tunnettavissa selvä haikeus ja rakkaus hahmoja kohtaan. Käsikirjoitus on aivan upea ja tuttujen hahmojen radikaali ulkoasu ja käytös Flashpoint-dystopiassa on hyvin toteutettu.
Kuvitus on tuttuun tapaan vauhdikasta ja dramaattista. Itse dramaattisin kohtaus taitaa olla se, kun Barry Allen yrittää väkisin muuttua Flashiksi, mutta ei luovuta, vaikka ensimmäinen salama polttaa hänet lähes poroksi. Flash onkin itseoikeutetusti tarinan uljain hahmo.
Vaikka asiat saadaan korjattua lopussa, on uudelleen syntynyt todellisuus jotain aivan muuta kuin vanha tutuksi tullut DC-todellisuus. Mutta siitä siis kertovat uudet New 52-tarinat....ja niistä myöhemmin :-)
Mutta siis yksi parhaimmista DC-tarinoista, mitä olen lukenut. Jännitystä, draamaa, emotionaalista syvyyttä. Ihana, ihana, kuten sketsihahmo Karim sanoisi. Marvel voi tukehtua omaan turhuuteensa.
Tähtiä ehdottomasti 5/5.
Tällä kertaa arvostelenkin jotain erilaista, eli kyseessä ei olekaan sarjakuva vaan opas DC:n hahmoihin. Kirjassa on parisen sataa DC:n tärkeintä hahmoa esiteltynä.Kiiltävän kannen alta paljastuu hyvin tarjoiltu sisältö erityisesti niille, jotka ovat juuri alkaneet taipaleensa DC:n fantastisessa maailmassa.
208 sivuun on tungettu aika laajasti kaikki tarpeelliset hahmot, sillä kun olen jostain hahmosta halunnut tietoa, niin kyllä kirjasta on se 80 prosentissa tapauksista löytynyt. Muutama hassu puute on ollut, kuten Mogoa, elävää planeettaa, kirjasta ei löydy. Mutta toisaalta väkisinkin tällaisen mittaluokan kartoittamisessa jotain jää pois.
Kuvitus on jälleen kerran värikästä ja eri piirtäjien hahmoja on käytetty, mikä on todella hyvä juttu. Pahiksia ja hyviksiä on esitelty yhtä paljon, ja joistain olisi kyllä pikkaisen kaivannut lisätietoa, mutta lyhyet tekstipätkät eivät anna kauheasti tilaa pitkille tarinoinneille.
Kirja on todellakin monta kertaa parempi kuin vastaava Marvelin versio, erityisesti suomennettu painos, jossa hahmot olivat alkuperäisnimensä mukaisessa järjestyksessä eli eivät suomalaisen nimensä mukaan aakkosjärjestyksessä.
Mahtava opas DC aloittelijoille!
P.S. Ja tässä siis todellakin arvosteltu painettu versio, en voisi kuvitellakaan lääppiväni tätä millään iPadilla, sillä ainoastaan painettu kirja tuottaa oikeasti iloa pitkäksi aikaa!

Tässä tulee aimo annos maailman ensimmäisen supersankarijoukkion seikkailuja retrohenkisille! Tämä poppoo ei ole laisinkaan suomalaisille tuttu, mutta eipä ihme, sillä tämä harmaa kansa ei näytä muuta tiedostavan kuin Marvelin helppoheikki-sankarit.
Ensimmäisenä näistä 1970-luvulla alun perin ilmestyneistä tarinoista hyppää esiin värien ilotulitus. Piirrosjälki on epätasaista, mutta se ei menoa haittaa sillä tarinat ovat mahtavia ja ihastuttavan vanhanaikaisia, jossa hassun näköiset pahikset suunnittelevat maailmanvalloitusta.
Toisena näkyvänä asiana huomioin Powergirlin lievästi provosoivat asennot. Nainen kun ei ole rinnoiltaan siitä pienimmästä päästä, joten tämä loihtii itsensä taistelun tiimellyksessä jos jonkinlaisiin seksiposeerauksiin. Erityisesti mieleen jäi eräskin ruutu, jossa Powergirl ratsastaa ohjuksella hekumallinen ilme kasvoillaan. Ehkä tämä on 70-luvun seksististä ilmapiiriä...
Sankarit ovat erittäin mielenkiintoisia kuten Dr. Midnite, joka on sokea sekä Hourman, jolla on supervoimia vain tunti kerrallaan. Ja piipahtaahan se Teräsmies myös toiminnassa, tosin Earth 2:n versio, sillä nämä sankarit asustavat siellä.
Värikäs, upea, ikimuistoinen ja ei missään nimessä kertakäyttökamaa.
